Book Cover - Commission by Lizkay

The 2nd Book Cover Commission, again for Just2Draw, featuring the same characters as on the first one ;) Background is painted meanwhile the characters are more clearly shaded, mix of various techniques here, and I must say, I like the quite sharp result. The big tree area on the top is supposed to be used for the title later, just for these wondering :D Characters and idea for the setting (c) ~Just2Draw Artwork (c) me ;)

My digital part of an ArtTrade, featuring the wonderful Character and as well the idea for the surrounding ;) for/by Bloodhound-omega Tried to archieve the desired look with various effect and as well tryouts, so I hope it looks acceptable in the end, overall around 2 weeks of work, where I painted here and there until it was done ^__^ and I had really much fun with this. This started as a speedpainting, with no real reason, in the end I decided to add some more detail... Overall painted from sketch to this result now, (I will upload a few steps in between stages later...) As said.. no real reason, so it's up to you to get an interpretation on this ;) Painted in Photoshop, using Wacom Intuos2 Tablet, based on a scanned sketch.

Pharaoh Dog - Rasui by Lizkay

Well.. somehow a new re-make of my old Egyptian Dog here: http://www.deviantart.com/deviation/28165647 and made a final character out of it, named Rasui, which has the egyptian meaning of "dream". Nothing special, tried to get these curls into his fur as a design part, but I think they are too less visible on there... Used textures are from Mayang.com ;) all coloring and texturing done in Photoshop CS2 using a tablet based on a rough sketch. And yes, it's still supposed to look more like a 2D Cell animation piece than a realistic painting or something similar ;)

... well a quite non-creative theme, since a lot came up with a "drowning" picture... though, I don't really care, I wanted to make that scene since a while, tried a bunch of new techniques, looks acceptable to me ;) Character is the red gryphon Alpha, yap, the same one shown in the "Dreaming" picture... Photoshop CS2 + tablet.... and lots of nerves...

I always wanted to make a rain picture (specially these days, instead of snowing it's just raining here...) I wanted to archieve that typical rain effect used in 2D animation movies ;) Generally it is a random gryphon character with brown tiger stripes on the back, though I will use it for my gryphon series...
