Very nice glowing water effects, it really adds a magical feeling to the picture. That and maybe just because I like shiny things. But, still an effect used very well and not overdone.
i agree it that i too am drawn to shinny things and i do think that its very magical when you have glowy OR shinny things! hehe. why did he have to die though? <:(
The shining, glowing, emanating water adds such a dreamy, yet mystic and etheral feeling towards the overall picture. The red of the gryphon actually helps the picture, as to ruining it as i thought it might, as the soft shading and light color blend in with the glow. Its very crisp too, so that is a big +. One thing though, is that the foot on the back could use a tiny bit more shaping in terms of realisticness, and feet are a little bit big....

I really like the facial shapes--the way the beak turns into the cheek muscle. I haven't seen it done that way before, and it looks really nice.
